Boogie Nights Summer Run Series - Ventura

The Boogie Nights Summer Run Series - Ventura is a Wednesday-night beach 5K on the Ventura Promenade, beginning at Aloha Steakhouse and The Crowne Plaza. The Ventura Running Club hosts the 10-week series, running from late May through July. A free kids 1K precedes the 5K. The 5K is chip-timed; the kids run is informal, allowing families to participate without pre-registration. The route follows the beachfront promenade, with the 5K starting after the kids 1K. Series 5K participants receive a Boogie Nights event shirt; single-night runners may purchase one during registration. Weekly themes, series awards, kids medals, and optional food and drinks from Aloha Steakhouse contribute to a summer-evening club atmosphere rather than a standard road race. Entry fees also benefit local high school cross-country teams, having raised over $50,000 for the program in 11 years.
