Break Bread Bun Run - First Presbyterian Church of Valdosta 2026

The Break Bread Bun Run is a morning community race held at the YMCA of Valdosta on Gornto Road. It begins at 7:30 a.m. from the lower-level parking lot and concludes at the same location. The race benefits Break Bread Together, the meal delivery program of First Presbyterian Church of Valdosta. Walkers are welcome, and the event is structured for all participants to finish within approximately one hour. The course follows a route through the Old Wood Valley subdivision, offering a neighborhood run experience distinct from a large urban road race. Awards will be presented to the top two male and female finishers in each age category, ranging from 11 and under to 70 and over. The initiative it supports is notably tangible: since 1973, Break Bread Together has provided hot meals to homebound seniors, specifically those over 65 with minimal incomes and often lacking local support. For certain recipients, the meal delivery volunteers represent their sole consistent social interaction.
