BWL Hometown Power 5k

The BWL Hometown Power 5K is an annual 3.1-mile road race starting at the Lansing Board of Water & Light’s REO Town Headquarters on South Washington Avenue. It is run on paved streets, intended for local residents to participate in a straightforward community run, not a complicated or highly technical race. The route proceeds from the REO Town headquarters into nearby neighborhoods, keeping the course near BWL’s home base. Participants receive a technical shirt, finisher medal, and race bag. The event supports BWL’s Pennies for Power program.
