About this race
The Carol of Lights Run is a nighttime race on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock. Runners move through buildings illuminated by over 25,000 colored lights. It provides 5K and 1-mile options, with distinct pricing for adults and children, allowing families to select a distance suitable for both younger and older participants.
The course remains on campus, beginning on the Broadway side of Texas Tech. Carolers perform along the route as runners pass through the holiday lights. Following the finish, participants receive Santa’s treats, and the event gathers items for a local children’s charity. West Texas Endurance, a Lubbock-based organizer, manages the event as part of its range of family and endurance races.
