Catch the Elf 5k & 10k

The Catch the Elf 5k & 10k is a Christmas-themed road race in Markham, Illinois, offering both 5 km and 10 km distances. Both races begin at 4000 W 155th St. This event benefits the Toy Box Connection Children’s Charity. Each distance is chip timed, with live results available online. The race features a unique format where each distance has its own “race elf” starting 90 seconds ahead of the runners. Participants who finish before their respective elf win a special prize. The event also includes overall and age-group awards, a Santa Claus station for children’s wishes, a long-sleeve race shirt, and a Secret Santa exchange. Runners can bring a wrapped, running-related gift valued at approximately $15 or less and select a different gift after completing the race.
