Chesapeake Rotary Holly Jolly Jog Race and Fun Run presented by the YMCA of South Hampton Roads

Thirty minutes before the Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade, the Holly Jolly Jog sends runners, joggers, and walkers for one mile down Battlefield Blvd under the holiday lights. Presented by the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, it is a family-friendly Chesapeake event built around neighbors racing neighbors before the parade begins. People show up in Christmas lights, pajamas, ugly sweaters, and costumes, though full Santa outfits are off limits because the parade keeps that role for one Santa. The course is chip-timed, officially measured, and sorted into pace corrals, so first-timers and families can share the street with serious runners chasing the front.
