Chicopee Woods WildRUN 2026

Chicopee Woods WildRUN offers 7-mile and 3-mile trail races within Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve in Gainesville, Georgia. Both races commence in the morning. A kids trail fun run, designed for ages 4 to 13, follows a short loop around the preserve, and chaperones are permitted. The 7-mile race has a 3-hour time limit; runners requiring additional time may contact organizers via email to arrange an earlier start. The course navigates through rhododendron groves, crosses creeks, crosses a 140-foot suspension bridge, and ascends rolling, pine-needle-covered trails. This event is conducted in collaboration with Elachee Nature Science Center, focusing on education, conservation, and public access within Chicopee Woods. A parking pass is mandatory for preserve entry. Non-members might need to use overflow parking or a shuttle service. Discounted Elachee memberships provide an annual pass and preferential parking close to the start and finish areas. Team Summit organizes group trail runs before the race for course familiarization. Race merchandise includes a technical shirt and a packable BOCO endurance hat.
