About this race
Coaches for Curing Cancer begins at Howe 2 Run on Gateway Boulevard South in Savannah, Georgia, with participants starting at 7:30 a.m. The event features both a 5K and a 10K, allowing individuals to select a short run, a longer distance, or a walk. This is an annual fundraiser supporting childhood cancer research and providing aid to children with cancer and their families.
DA Coach Karl DeMasi coordinates the race alongside the Savannah Sports Report and Prep Sports Report. This marks the event's tenth year. The format is straightforward and community-focused: participants may run, walk, or contribute donations. Packet pickup is available at Howe 2 Run on the day prior to the race and again on race morning. The 10K has a slightly higher fee than the 5K, and registration costs increase as the event date approaches.
