Dobie Dash

The Dia De Los Dobies 5K is a school-based run and walk held at Brown Middle School in McAllen, Texas. The main 5K begins at 7:45 a.m. The event also provides 1K options, allowing families and younger participants to join without completing the full distance. Proceeds benefit the BMS Athletic Department, and the race focuses on health, wellness, and the Brown Middle School community. The event incorporates a Dia de los Muertos theme, encouraging participants to wear bright colors and paint sugar skulls. The 5K registration includes a bib, dri-fit shirt, finisher medal, and age-group awards for males and females. The basic 1K includes a finisher medal. The race was rescheduled from its original spring date to the fall, with packet pickup available at the school prior to race day.
