Elmira Heights PBA - Thomas Edison 5k

The Elmira Heights PBA - Thomas Edison 5K is a community 5K run/walk held at Oakridge Park on Glenwood Avenue in Elmira, New York. The main race covers 3.10 miles, with a Kids Fun Run following soon after. This event is designed for families and local runners alike, organized by the Elmira Heights PBA and directly associated with Thomas Edison High School. The race was established to revive a local running tradition, recalling the former Brad Sanford Race, a former community fixture. Proceeds support a scholarship for a Thomas Edison senior pursuing higher education or trade school, assisting with expenses such as books or a computer. Support is welcomed through running, volunteering, or donating, making the event as much about the school district and its graduating students as it is about the 5K.
