About this race

The Emerald City Trail Series is a five-week set of Thursday evening trail races at the Mt. Pisgah Trailhead in Eugene, Oregon. Big Timber Running Club hosts it, and every race starts at 6:30 PM PDT. The series has been running for five years, with runners able to enter the full five-race set or sign up for single nights. The races start near the Sheriff's Mounted Posse arena at the north end of Buford and use the wide trail network around Mt. Pisgah. The distances change each week: 4.7 miles, 3.4 miles, 8 miles, 3.7 miles, and 3 miles, so the series mixes shorter weeknight efforts with one longer trail race. Parking is on Buford Park Road beyond the North Trailhead Parking Lot gate, with a Lane County Parks permit or a Passport Parking permit required. The final race includes a post-race ceremony, giving the series a simple season-finale feel rather than ending at the finish line.
