Festive Pines 5K

The Festive Pines 5K is a holiday-themed 5K race held at Walnut Ridge Tree Farm in Indianola, Iowa. The course winds through the farm’s pine tree acreage. A shorter Pine K 1K Walk/Run is also available, offering families and walkers an option within the Christmas setting that does not cover the full 5K distance. The two distances utilize separate pine groves. 1K participants veer off early around a pine tree field, while 5K runners proceed toward the northern groves. Spectators can remain in the event area. The barn serves as the location for post-race activities, featuring Santa photo opportunities, coffee and cocoa provided by Crimson Anchor Coffee Roasters, cookies from Hy-Vee, and therapy and stretching services from Select Physical. A portion of the proceeds and donations benefits Helping Hand in Indianola, an organization that assists local residents with food, clothing, household items, personal care products, and other essential needs.
