First Responder 5K 2026

The First Responder 5K is a 5K road race in York, Maine. It begins at the Center for Active Living on Main Street at 10:00 a.m. The race generates funds for first responders and their families during crises or need, with proceeds benefiting the Trooper Black Foundation, a 501(c)(3). Chip timing is used, and the first 150 participants receive commemorative long sleeve shirts. The course is flat for the first mile along Cape Neddick Beach, then includes rolling hills through the second mile, finishing mostly flat. Parking is available at Ellis Park by the Short Sands lot. Race-day registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers, age-group winners from under 18 through 70+, and the top three scoring first responder teams. All finishers are also eligible for raffle prizes.
