Full Belly Friends of Shelby 5K and Fun Run 2026

The Full Belly Friends of Shelby 5K and Fun Run takes place on Thanksgiving weekend in Nashville’s Shelby Park and Bottoms. The race begins and ends on the road south of Lake Sevier, near the Reflection sculpture—the large silver bird by the lake. The event features a timed 5K for competitive runners and an all-ages Fun Run or walk around Lake Sevier, suitable for families, walkers, and those preferring a shorter, less strenuous option. Participants not in town can also join virtually over the holiday weekend. The course is contained within Shelby Park and Bottoms. The Fun Run follows a path around Lake Sevier, while the 5K utilizes the park roads and paths surrounding the event area. Friends of Shelby hosts this race to raise funds for the park and to support a holiday food drive. Each registration contributes to collecting money and items for the Martha O’Bryan food bank, assisting neighbors during the holiday season. A portion of the proceeds also supports Nashville Scout Troop 3.
