About this race
The Glowing in the Streets 5K is a nighttime 5K held in MidTown Reno, Nevada. Runners begin after evening registration and proceed through the district after dark. The race centers on glow gear: neon clothing, glow sticks, LED lights, and other bright items that transform the streets into part of the event. All ages are welcome. The start and finish location is still to be determined.
The route is a 5K loop around MidTown, not a technical course with specific turn-by-turn directions. Each participant receives a custom 3D-printed medal produced at the MidTown Welcome Center. Spectators can join Glow Parties situated throughout MidTown, integrating cheering into the night's activities rather than confining it to the finish line. The race is part of the larger MidTown weekend, preceding Dancing in the Streets on Saturday.
