About this race
The Goblin Valley Gravel Ride is a gravel cycling event near Green River, Utah, starting on Goblin Valley Road. Organized by Elevation Culture Race Series, it is part of the Utah Desert Festival, making it a desert bike weekend rather than a standalone road race. Participants can select from three routes: 61.2 km, 74 km, or 112.7 km.
The course crosses protected desert country shaped by hoodoos, including the mushroom-like rock formations called “goblins” in Goblin Valley. The ride also goes through areas with a history of mining, with potential views of ghost towns and ancient petroglyphs on nearby rock faces.
