Grand Lake Stars and Strides 5k 2026

The Grand Lake Stars and Strides is a Fourth of July 5k run/walk held around Grand Lake in Rockville, Minnesota. Race-day activities are based at the Grand Lake boat landing, near Cold Spring. Runners and walkers begin at 8:00 a.m. This event maintains a local, relaxed atmosphere; it is not chip timed, making it suitable for those preferring a holiday morning run over a precisely timed competition. The course circles the lake, concluding in time for refreshments at the 9:00 a.m. Flag Raising ceremony. Afterward, participants can take a mile-long walk back to the boat landing for their cars. Top finishers receive prizes, and all participants are eligible for door prizes. Those who register early are assured a race hat. Residents around the lake are invited to cheer, provide music, and decorate their driveways.
