About this race
The Half CRAZY Half Marathon and 5K begins at the well-known CRAZY Water Sign in Mineral Wells, Texas. The event features a USATF-certified half marathon, a 5K, and a 1 Mile Fun Run. The half marathon starts in the morning, with the 5K beginning one hour later. The name reflects the course: runners should anticipate hills, which are incorporated into the half marathon challenge.
The course travels through Mineral Wells, circles back towards downtown, and directs half-marathon participants into the hills of Palo Pinto County. On the way back, runners will see the Baker Hotel before finishing downtown. Runners share the roads with vehicles, making it an open-course race. All ages are welcome. The top male and female half-marathon finishers each receive $150. 5K runners get a shirt, medal, Whataburger items, and a drink. The race also benefits local community needs, extending its impact beyond the participants.
