Haunted Halloween 5K - Run & Walk

The Haunted Halloween 5K - Run & Walk is a Halloween-themed race in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, located at the Diversey Event Space near the lakefront. The 5K begins after costume judging, with the half marathon starting shortly before it. Both races start and finish on the gravel path beside the event space. The 5K follows the first 1.55 miles of the half marathon course before turning back. The half marathon runs south along the lakefront toward the Field Museum, then returns to Lincoln Park. Mile markers and four aid stations are provided on the route. Costumes are a key part of the event: judging occurs before the races, and awards are given for the top two individual costumes and top two group costumes. Participants should wear costumes that allow for movement, and gear check is available for one standard backpack if needed for storing costume elements before the race.
