About this race
The High Line Canal Summer Scamper is an annual 5K race beginning and ending at James A. Bible Park in Denver. It is described as a "5K for All," welcoming runners, walkers, and strollers on an evening course along the High Line Canal. The race commences at 6:30 p.m., with the course concluding at 8 p.m.
The event supports the High Line Canal Conservancy and its efforts along the 71-mile canal corridor. Prior to the 5K, participants may engage in pre-race yoga, and children aged 8 and under can participate in a complimentary 200-meter Ditch Dash without prior registration. Following the race, the Canal Summer Fest offers food, beverages, live music, and nature-focused activities suitable for all ages. Registration provides a shirt, a chip-timed bib, downloadable photos, a meal ticket, and a drink ticket, with beer available for those 21 and older.
