Hoover Choir Melody Miles 5K

Student singers line the route at the Hoover Choir Melody Miles 5K, providing the soundtrack for the choir program the race supports. This family-friendly 5K takes place at Hoover High School on Buccaneer Drive in Birmingham, Alabama, with an early-morning start scheduled for autumn. Runners and walkers are welcome, and the event benefits Hoover High School’s choir program, which comprises over 180 students in eight choirs. The course begins and ends at Hoover High School, featuring live music and encouragement from student performers along the route. Following the run, participants can enjoy karaoke, an awards ceremony, additional music, and a silent auction. Funds generated contribute to choir trip expenses, equipment purchases, and student scholarships, making the race a community 5K and a direct fundraiser for music education at the school.
