Hope in Every Step 5K 2026

The Hope Starts Here 5K begins at Operation New Hope’s historic Springfield headquarters, located at 1830 North Main Street in Jacksonville. This annual run and walk, presented by the Fraternal Order of Police, is open to all ages and ability levels. The 5K race starts at 8am, followed by a 1 Mile Fun Run at 9am. The course incorporates sections of the Emerald Trail and passes through Springfield, a historic Jacksonville neighborhood. Proceeds from the race directly support Operation New Hope’s mission, which since 1999 has provided workforce training, job placement, mental health services, and community violence intervention for individuals affected by incarceration. Over 20,000 Floridians impacted by the justice system have been assisted by the organization. Following the race, participants aged 21 and older are invited to Strings Sports Brewery next door for a complimentary 10oz beer.
