About this race
The Hub City Hustle Triathlon takes place at Heritage Subdivision in Lamar County, Mississippi, approximately eight miles west of Hattiesburg. This USAT-sanctioned event, held late in the season, offers a standard triathlon, a triathlon option suitable for beginners, and a duathlon for those preferring to bypass the swim. The standard triathlon includes a 600-yard lake swim, a bike course of about 21 miles, and a 3-mile run. The beginner division features a shorter 300-yard swim.
The swim occurs in a 200-acre spring-fed lake located at the rear of the subdivision, where the transition area is situated. The bike course is an out-and-back route crossing rolling hills. The run course remains within Heritage Subdivision, incorporating both hilly and flat sections. The duathlon begins with a 1-mile run, followed by the standard bike leg, and concludes with the 3-mile run. The event attracts both seasoned triathletes and those new to the sport. Additionally, cash prizes are awarded for the fastest swim, bike, and run splits.
