About this race
Indy Sprint Tri is a sprint-distance race at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, with triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, and relay options on the same event menu. The triathlon is a 500-meter swim, 10-mile bike, and 3-mile run; the duathlon swaps the swim for a 2-mile opening run before the same bike and final run; the aquabike keeps just the swim and bike. Relay teams can split the triathlon between two or three people, while duathlon relay teams use two people. Competitors must be at least 14 by the end of the race year, and the events run under USA Triathlon rules, so racers need either an annual USAT membership or a one-day membership for the event.
The race is part of Tuxedo Brothers’ six-event sprint series, which also includes triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike races around the Indianapolis area. Eagle Creek Park gives the event a park-based setting rather than a city-street-only feel, and the short distances make it a practical choice for beginners while still giving experienced racers a fast, structured effort. Participants can earn overall, age-group, and division awards, and race shirts are offered in unisex sizing for those who register early enough. The series also has a bundle discount for people entering three or more events, plus a referral refund that gives money back when friends sign up through a racer’s link.
