Jingle Bell Run

The Jingle Bell Run is a holiday-season 5K with local events in Shelby Township, Baltimore, and Arlington. The Shelby Township race begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center, using the Ryan Road entrance at River Bends Drive. The Baltimore event starts at 9:30 a.m. at 401 Light Street and supports the Arthritis Foundation as its signature holiday charity run. The race is for runners and walkers. In Baltimore, participants are encouraged to wear holiday outfits and form teams with friends, family, or coworkers. In Shelby Township, awards are given for overall, masters, and senior masters categories, with medals for the top three in each age group. Charity, with proceeds benefiting arthritis research and local programs, Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Macomb County Special Olympics, Cat Tail Acres, Great Lakes Burn Center, and K9 Rescue.
