Kentucky Senior Games 5K

A 5K run at The Parklands at Floyds Fork in Louisville is part of the Kentucky Senior Games, a late-summer multisport series for athletes age 50 and over from across Kentucky. The 5K specifically accepts runners age 40 and over. Participants do not need to reside in Kentucky. The program includes running, power walking, track and field, archery, golf, tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, billiards, table tennis, croquet, bocce, cornhole, shuffleboard, and other sports. The 5K takes place in Beckley Creek Park within The Parklands at Floyds Fork. Other sports are held in Lexington, Frankfort, Bowling Green, Shelbyville, Nicholasville, and Middletown. The Games qualify athletes for the National Senior Games, attracting some with national competition in mind and others seeking age-group races locally. For the 5K, awards are presented to the top three men and women in each five-year age group. Kentucky residents who set a state age-group record are highlighted on the event's website.
