About this race

Lake Erie Cyclefest is a four-day cycling weekend in Erie, Pennsylvania, held in July and centered on bikes. It offers a variety of rides for different cyclists rather than a single race. Families can participate in the free 10-mile Downtown Slow Roll starting from Perry Square. Road cyclists have longer route options, gravel riders have their own choice, and mountain bikers compete in laps at Six Mile Creek Park. The rides are self-supported and welcome cyclists of all ages and abilities. The routes traverse diverse Erie County terrain, including Lake Erie beaches, Presque Isle State Park, old-growth forests, downtown streets, rolling farmland, meadows, and the grape-growing region near North East. The See Spot Ride begins and ends at Port Farms Poverty Knob Brewery in Waterford, offering 10-, 25-, 50-, and 40-mile gravel routes with lunch, drinks, and music. The Tour de West County starts and finishes at Asbury Woods and is one of the area's longest-running recreational bike rides. The Six Mile Creek Classic features a six-mile loop in a wooded area for beginner, youth, sport, expert, single-speed, and Class 1 e-bike riders. Funds raised benefit local organizations such as Asbury Woods, Bike Erie, Because You Care, Erie Cancer Wellness Center, Presque Isle Partnership, and regional trail groups.
