Lakefront Discovery Run 2026

The Lakefront Discovery Run begins at Veteran's Park in Milwaukee, guiding participants along the city’s lakefront as the running season winds down. It features a 15K, a 5K, and a free kids run. The adult distances welcome those who wish to run, walk, skip, or hop the course. Prizes are awarded to overall winners and age-group finishers, accommodating both competitive runners and those enjoying the day more casually. The course embraces its Halloween theme with aid stations stocked with candy, Monster Mile Markers, and themed music. Costumes are recognized with a volunteer-voted award, and the beer policy is accommodating: participants receive free beer regardless of costume. Runners and volunteers are eligible for event shirts, subject to availability, and the post-race amenities include snacks and a heated tent.
