About this race
The Leesville Community Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning 5K in Raleigh, North Carolina. It begins at the Harrington Grove Swim and Racquet Clubhouse on New Leesville Boulevard at 8:30 a.m. Chip timing provides official results, and age-group runners compete for prizes, while walkers can enjoy a relaxed holiday outing.
The route features "Roost Stops," and a large race clock marks the finish for those not in the official timed results. The top male and female finishers in each age category receive a pie and a custom turkey hat. Leesville Road High alumni use the event as an informal reunion, volunteers earn service hours, and proceeds benefit the Murphy Scholarship Fund, assisting Leesville seniors with their education.
