Light the Way 5k

The Light the Way 5K is a nighttime 5K run and walk held at Dollywood in Sevierville, Tennessee, during the park’s Smoky Mountain Christmas event. Participants travel through millions of Christmas lights. The primary attraction is a timed 3.1-mile run within and around the theme park after dark, concluding with a holiday light show at the finish. The start is located near Dollywood’s toll booths. Over half the course is outside the park before runners utilize Dollywood’s tram road and finish among the Christmas displays. The Knoxville Track Club manages the event and chip timing. The participant limit is 2,000, and all finishers get a medal. A 1-mile Fun Walk is available for those who may not complete the 5K in 90 minutes. Competitive runners can compete for overall and age-group awards.
