About this race
The Lights for Life 5K is an annual virtual 5K organized by Project 99 Play for Life, Inc. It focuses on mental health and suicide awareness, encouraging participants to use the event to help bring suicide prevention into open conversation.
There is no fixed course; the race can be completed as a run or walk, and people can also support it by cheering from anywhere. Participation and tax-deductible donations support education for local students and the broader community, with outreach focused on hope, awareness, prevention, and the message to “stay in the game” and play for life.
