About this race
MammothMarch Arkansas is a 20-mile hiking challenge at Pinnacle Mountain State Park, about 13 miles northwest of downtown Little Rock. It starts early in the morning and gives hikers 8 hours to finish, so the day is more about steady endurance on foot than racing for a fast time.
The route uses a loop of park trails in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, with Pinnacle Mountain itself as the main landmark of the area and part of the U.S. Interior Highlands. The crowd is built around hikers, nature-lovers, and repeat MammothMarch participants, and the finish is framed as the kind of hard-earned end where people come in tired, proud, and happy.
