Manitou 5K

The Manitou 5K begins and ends in Fields Park in Manitou Springs, Colorado. The course is flat and accommodates runners, walkers, rollers, and strollers. This community race is in its third year, chip timed by Pikes Peak Road Runners, with all proceeds benefiting the Manitou Springs School District. The route follows the creek and the Creekwalk, passing through parks featuring murals, sculptures, disc golf, and skate areas. Participants have ranged from 4 to 82 years old. Local support is significant: school art students design the shirts, Garden of the Gods Trading Post provides snacks and drinks, an old-time arcade supplies kids awards, Manitou Brewery offers beer tokens, and city staff and the fire department assist with race operations.
