May The Course Be With You 2026

May The Course Be With You is an annual Star Wars-themed 5K in Seattle’s Ravenna Park, observed around the fan holiday of May the Fourth. The race begins in the morning and plays on its name: runners are encouraged to arrive with lightsabers, Darth Vader impressions, and Star Wars race outfits, rather than approaching it as a serious road race. The course is a 5K within Ravenna Park, with a map provided by the organizers. Registration includes a race shirt, a custom finisher medal, free professional race photos, finish-line treats, and themed photo setups with backdrops. The medals are wooden “Woodles” crafted by Ridgeway Woodworks, which uses reclaimed wood and diverts nearly all of its processed wood, including scraps and shavings, from landfills. Past race photos and results are posted, maintaining a public record from one year to the next.
