McKinney Monster Dash 5K

Costumes are part of the start-line scene at the McKinney Monster Dash 5K, a chip-timed Halloween morning run in McKinney, Texas. The race begins at 9:00 AM at Towne Lake Park with a straightforward format: one 5K distance, a family-friendly field, official shirts, custom bibs, swag packets, and finisher medals for participants. The course follows park trails, with race activity also connected to the TUPPS Brewery area. Approximately 1,500 runners are anticipated, many in costume, and the post-race activities include live music, local vendors, food, photo opportunities, a costume contest, and complimentary TUPPS beer for adults 21 and older. Awards are presented to the top male and female runners overall, with cash prizes, plus age-group awards from 14 and under through 60+, and a portion of the proceeds benefits The Warriors Keep.
