About this race
The Mighty Mo Run begins and ends inside the Siouxland Expo Center in Sioux City, convenient for a race weekend focused on fast road running. The series features a Friday evening 5K, a Saturday 10K and kids run, and Sunday half marathon and marathon races. The courses are described as flat and fast, with the half marathon following an out-and-back route and the full marathon designed as a three-state race through Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
Much of the running takes place on or near the Missouri River Trail by the Expo Center, offering smooth surfaces, shade, and river views on the updated marathon course. Aid stations supply fluids, support, and restrooms, and runners have access to showers and a recovery station post-race. The Stooge Challenge connects the weekend for participants completing events on all three days, including a distinct award and shirt. Proceeds benefit the H.A.R.T. Foundation, assisting athletes with running and training.
