Mistie Hill Wine Run 5k

The August Hill Wine Run 5k is an annual May run/walk held at August Hill Winery on Mill Street in Utica, Illinois. It is a chip-timed 5k, allowing runners to pursue a precise result, while the course also suits walkers and those primarily visiting the winery. J3 Timing manages the timing, with results available online post-race. The race begins and ends on Mill Street directly in front of the winery. The route follows the I&M Canal along a very flat, fast path. Registration provides a soft cotton shirt, a portable shatterproof wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, complimentary race photos, and a wine pour. Packet pickup is limited to race day, opening one hour prior to the start. The designated local charity is Friendship House of Illinois, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
