Monster Mash Dash 5K

The Monster Mash Dash 5K is a Halloween-themed 5K race held in Manito Park on Spokane's South Hill. Costumes are encouraged, and a separate Kids' Fun Run follows the main race. The 5K begins in the morning and utilizes chip timing, providing runners with a recorded finish time while maintaining a family event atmosphere. The Kids' Fun Run includes 1-mile, half-mile, and quarter-mile distances. Children receive candy goodie bags upon completion. Adults may walk or run the kids' course with their children, allowing parents to participate in the 5K first and then join the shorter run. All proceeds benefit Active4Youth, a local nonprofit focused on teaching sports and healthy activities to children, which operates a free elementary running program in Spokane-area school districts.
