Mountain States Cup DH #2 Solitude is a stop in a revived Rocky Mountain downhill mountain bike series, with Solitude, Utah, hosting the Wasatch Cup round. The series spans summer across four states: New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado. The new series is downhill only, differing from the old Mountain States Cup which included gravity and cross-country racing. It features equal payouts, live coverage, and prize money at each location. The series revives a regional circuit that served as a proving ground in the 2000s before its decline in the mid-2010s.
