About this race
Move! with the Urban League is a summer 5K taking place in Hartford, Connecticut, starting at historic Keney Park on Greenfield Street. The day includes more than just the 5K: a 1-mile race, a free kids run, and a YP Games team competition are also offered, welcoming participants of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
The park provides much of the event's character, as Keney Park is one of New England's largest public parks and is known as Hartford's "Jewel of the City." The event supports the Urban League of Greater Hartford, which works toward racial equity and economic empowerment via initiatives in education, employment, housing, health, and social justice. It also honors the legacy of Earl Exum, an RTX-Pratt & Whitney executive and Urban League board officer who prioritized fitness and was the first finisher in the inaugural race. Beyond the running, the day features free fitness activities, crafts, giveaways, food, and live entertainment.
