About this race
Marina Bay Park serves as the starting point, giving the event the feel of a community fundraiser that includes running. Since 2017, it has evolved from a run supporting elementary-aged youth with school supplies into a wider initiative focused on health, academics, community service, scholarships, clean-ups, and outdoor activities. The fitting tagline is: "Make Every Step Matter: Run for a Cause."
On race day, participants can choose between in-person and virtual participation, with two race waves and a children's sprint included in the morning's schedule. The course itself is not the main attraction; the focus is on gathering with other runners, families, and children to "empower the youth of our community." Costumes are permitted, reflecting the event's atmosphere: welcoming, somewhat lighthearted, and centered on making each stride meaningful.
