#NFStrong-Boardman, OH 2026

The #NFStrong-Boardman, OH 5K takes place on June 5th, starting from the Masters Pavilion in Boardman Township Park, located at 375 Boardman-Poland Road in Boardman, near Youngstown. Registration opens at 9 AM, with the race beginning at 10 AM. Participants can choose between an in-person run at the park or a more affordable virtual 5K option for those who prefer to complete it elsewhere. The event supports neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder affecting the nervous system that can lead to tumor growth on nerves throughout the body. NF impacts over 120,000 Americans across all races and sexes, and it is not contagious. Approximately half of NF cases are inherited, while the other half result from spontaneous genetic mutations. Participants are encouraged to create fundraising pages to gather donations from their networks, thereby supporting the NF Network's initiatives in research, clinical care, education, awareness, and assistance for individuals affected by NF.
