At 7400 SW 41st Pl, this ninja-themed run keeps things simple and a little ridiculous in the best way. The Ninja 5K & 10K is built around an out-and-back course, so you are not solving a navigation puzzle while dressed like a stealthy cartoon assassin. It has the feel of a small, themed race where the point is to run hard, grin at the costumes, and try not to overheat under your headband. The course uses loops: one race does two, the other does four, so you will get familiar with the route and anyone chasing you in full ninja mode. The pitch is “Race against time,” “earn finisher medals,” and “showcase your best costume,” which tells you plenty about the mood at the start line.
