About this race
The Mountain Magic Trail Run takes place on the Nordic ski trails at Mt. Spokane State Park, located near Mead, Washington. Check-in is at Selkirk Lodge, with races scheduled throughout the morning. This summer event offers 5K, 10K, 25K, and 35K distances. Runners can select a short run on wide paths bordered by pine trees or a lengthy, demanding exploration of the mountain's trail network.
The trails feature rolling terrain and twists, with surfaces including grass, mud, and gravel. There is sufficient climbing to challenge participants in the longer races. The 35K Grand Tour crosses most of the prime running trails within the Nordic system. The 25K and 10K routes receive positive feedback from runners for their challenging yet manageable design. Registration is limited to 300 participants. The finish area is situated near the lodge. Grand Tour participants have the option to purchase custom shirts. Medals are provided to all participants, and a portion of the registration fees benefits the Women and Children's Free Restaurant in Spokane.
