OUTLAST NEW ORLEANS 2027

OUTLAST New Orleans is a six-hour trail endurance race held in Mandeville, Louisiana. Runners begin a 5K at the top of every hour from morning until early afternoon. To continue, participants must complete each 5K before the next hour starts. Finishing early provides a brief respite for hydration, nutrition, equipment adjustments, and mental preparation. Missing an hourly start or failing to finish a lap within the allotted time results in disqualification. Completing all six laps totals 30K of trail running, with the race format emphasizing pacing alongside speed. The course features natural trail terrain, presenting runners with uneven ground, elevation variations, and environmental conditions. OUTLAST is a component of a larger series with events in various locations, some of which are conducted at night. Participants' results are recorded on a national leaderboard. Awards align with the race's endurance theme: four laps yield a Bronze "Grit Earned" leather patch, five laps a Silver "Survivor" leather patch, and completing all six laps earns the OUTLAST wooden medal. The leading male and female runners at each event are determined by their aggregate 5K times, and city victors may qualify for the championship race.
