About this race
Pace in Parks! moves around Lexington, Kentucky, with weekly meetups in local parks instead of one fixed start line. It is a free 10-week training series hosted by John's Run/Walk Shop with Lexington Parks and Recreation, aimed at helping people get ready for the Bluegrass 10,000, a 5K, or a 1-Mile Fun Run.
RRCA-certified coaches lead the sessions, and the group is open to runners and walkers at any pace or fitness level. The park list includes Jacobson Park, Cardinal Run Park North, Pleasant Ridge Park, Veterans Park, Charles Young Park, Coldstream Park, Isaac Murphy Art Garden, Phoenix Park, Wellington Park, and Constitution Park, so the series feels more like a guided tour of Lexington's running spots than a single-course event.
