About this race
The original Pat Griskus Sprint Triathlon from 1987 and an Olympic distance race conceived in 2002 are held at Quassy Amusement Park. Swim in spring-fed Lake Quassapaug, bike around the lake, and run an out-and-back course for the Sprint. The Olympic distance race features a clean and clear lake swim, a challenging one loop bike course through classic New England farm country, and a run on shaded back roads. This USAT Sanctioned race welcomes first-timers with a dedicated division and medals for all first time finishers. It's also a tribute to Pat Griskus, who paved the way for many amputee athletes.
