About this race

¡Pick Me Up at the Border! is a long-distance, nighttime, gravel ride. Start with 5.3 miles of asphalt in Fitchburg, then transition to an all gravel and dirt trail along the Badger State Trail, including a detour on Tunnel Road around the closed Stewart Tunnel. This ride begins at nightfall, so a helmet and long-lasting headlight are required, with spare lights and batteries recommended. While mostly unsupported, find water and snack stops at trailheads and a 24-hour convenience store in Monroe. Riders gather for a safety briefing and snacks before heading out, then ride at their own pace.
