Rainbow Run 2026

The Rainbow Run, a Pride Month 5K and 10K run/walk in Roanoke, Virginia, takes place at River's Edge Park North on Reserve Avenue. Participants begin in the park and follow the Roanoke River Greenway, keeping the route alongside the river and city park paths instead of a downtown street course. Virtual 5K and 10K options are available for those wishing to support the event from afar. The event is designed for both runners and walkers, with check-in and packet pickup at the start area prior to the 8 a.m. start. The park also hosts the registration and information tent, sponsor booths, games, and a post-race gathering area. All finishers receive a medal. In-person participants also receive a bib and T-shirt, while supplies last. The Roanoke Diversity Center and its sports division, Blue Ridge Pride Sports, organize the race, with proceeds benefiting the Roanoke Diversity Center.
