About this race
The Resolution Run is a Fort Collins 5K that sends runners and walkers through neighborhood streets after sunset. It starts and finishes at Edora Pool Ice Center, known locally as EPIC, and it is one of the city’s older races, with more than four decades of history. The tone is relaxed and family-friendly: kids, strollers, dogs, and walkers are all welcome, making it suitable for New Year’s resolution starters and faster local runners alike.
The course uses low-traffic residential streets, but it is a Rules of the Road Run, so participants must follow traffic laws and yield if they encounter a vehicle. The night setting defines the race: organizers hand out glow sticks, and participants are encouraged to wear bright clothing and lights. Finishers receive a memento, glow sticks, and chocolate, while anyone who breaks 20:26 earns a special prize.
